Quartier Jeunesse (CJEMCV) invites you to take part in TRASH & TREASURE, a unique series of four free workshops dedicated to designing second-hand costumes for artists from Montréal’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. This event aims to encourage upcycling and creativity through the reuse of thrifted clothing and materials, while fostering an inclusive space.

Are you passionate about sustainable fashion and artistic expression? Want to develop your sewing skills while contributing to a creative and inclusive project? TRASH & TREASURE is for you! This four-part program will guide you in transforming second-hand clothing into spectacular costumes. (Please note: you will be asked to bring your own fabrics.)
Facilitators:
Lady Magpie (she/they), vintage treasure hunter and glamorous DIY creator
Lys de Pshit (they), multidisciplinary artist who primarily creates costumes using recycled materials
