About
Quartier Jeunesse offers you a refreshing, dynamic, and inclusive space to support you and propel you to the highest peaks. No project is too big for us: we’ll give you the tools to succeed, whether personal or professional.

Mission.
Vision. Values.
In collaboration with the community, Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal Centre-Ville supports young people aged 15 to 35 who live, study, work, or simply spend time downtown. We motivate and guide them in pursuing their educational, professional, creative, or entrepreneurial projects, helping them find their place in the Montréal job market and beyond.
Our values reflect the diversity and vibrancy of our youth:
- Curiosity. A willingness to embrace difference, explore the field, do research, and keep learning.
- Heart. A human-centered approach rooted in empathy and kindness toward oneself and others.
- Courage. Taking action and facing risks requires courage.
History
The collaborative activities of Carrefour jeunesse-emploi Montréal Centre-Ville began in October 1996 with the Member of the National Assembly for Westmount–Saint-Louis and the local community. Officially established on December 8, 2000, the CJEMCV is the result of a joint effort by various community stakeholders to offer and develop services tailored to the reality of downtown youth (graduating students and recent graduates, emerging artists, newcomers, and young people facing challenges).

Implementation of the Projet Arts de la scène (PAS) – Career Management
As part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Strategy, the CJEMCV carried out the Performing Arts Project (PAS). Based on an individualized approach, this program focused on two main areas: the artist (employability) and the artistic project (entrepreneurship).
Over a 30-week period, participants were guided, supported, and mentored by a team of professionals from the field and career management experts. They structured their careers by developing and implementing an action plan, an artistic project, a communication plan, and a financing plan. Each participant completed an artistic project and an internship in a professional setting.
The PAS successfully supported 10 artistic entrepreneurs, including Alexandra Landé Retrospect, Mâle Femelle, Le Trunk Collectif, and John Daganko.

More than 300 people attended the event at the Monument-National on June 18, 2007—including 150 emerging artists and about 30 presenters. The project highlighted the work of Nabila Ben Youssef – Productions Pas de Panique – and Lucie Carmen Grégoire.
